What are LEDs?

A light-emitting diode (LED) is a two-lead semiconductor light source. It is a basic pn-junction diode, which emits light when activated. When a fitting voltage is applied to the LEDs, electrons are able to recombine with electron holes within the device, releasing energy in the form of photons. This effect is called electroluminescence, and the color of the light (corresponding to the energy of the photon) is determined by the energy band gap of the semiconductor.

What is CRI?

The color rendering index (CRI), sometimes called color rendition index, is a quantitative measure of the ability of a light source to reveal the colors of various objects faithfully in comparison with an ideal or natural light source.

What about PIR?

A passive infrared sensor (PIR sensor) is an electronic sensor that measures infrared (IR) light radiating from objects in its field of view. They are most often used in PIR-based motion detectors. LEDs have no issue with PIR switching unlike fluorescent based lighting.

IP65 products.

IP65 is Protection against solid objects:6. Totally protected against dust.
Protection against liquids: 5.Protected against low pressure jets if water from all directions, limited ingress permitted.
